THE RIGHT
TO KILL
Short Science-Fiction Film
After the law allowing every citizen to commit one murder in their lifetime is passed, Rona’s grandmother is killed. As a strong opponent of the law, Rona feels conflicted. Can revenge pay off?

The Film
In a world of constantly escalating wars and conflicts, violence has become a mundane concept. These acts of horrific despair, both domestic and international, have affected daily life, encouraging hate speech, physical abuse, and cruelty. Seeing the rise of agents of hate gaining higher positions in both business and politics has motivated us to create this dark comedy satire about a world where violence is not only widespread but also socially accepted.
The Satire
We believe that complex ideas are more effectively perceived by the viewer when presented in accessible ways. Therefore, we hope that these exaggerated and intensified portrayals of reality will encourage many to examine how they may be legitimizing violence in their own lives, whether through action or inaction
