Elisha is the right-hand man of Koresh, a charismatic leader of a Jewish cult living in the desert. When Koresh commands him to help him execute a mass suicide, Elisha dares to question his master for the first time. Will he manage to break free from his control?

The Film
In recent years, Guy Shilo, the writer and director of the film, has delved into the forgotten folklore of ancient Jewish black magic texts, wishing to adapt them to modern, heart-wrenching films. Do and Obey is the second in a series of films exploring the field. The film strives to represent the Jewish heritage in intimate yet exciting ways, dilemmas related to faith, free will, and power within a fantastical Jewish context.
The Book & The Cult
The film is based on the Jewish mystical book, The Third Book of Enoch, which dates back to the 6th century AD. The book has yet to be featured in any film or TV series worldwide. The cult present in the film is based on the Essenes, a Jewish cult that lived in the Judean Desert around the beginning of the first millennium.
